San Francisco named Best Knee High Boot City in the World!

It's official, Boot Nation has awarded SF this prestigious and well-earned title. San Francisco beat out some stiff competition, including Toyko, Shanghai, London and Milan. Several elements lead San Francisco to its Knee High Boot title. The most important factor is weather. San Francisco has a mean temperature of 58 degree year round, day and night.. perfect for wearing knee high boots. On a yearly average, a woman can wear knee high boots in San Francisco 300 days per year. Therefore, if a woman has 10 pairs of knee high boots, she can rotate her boots and only wear them once every two weeks. That means she can wear one pair 25 times per year. In truth, only true boot lovers have 10 pairs of knee high boots and only the very most deovoted boot-wear puts on her boots 300 times a year, but it does happen. Most women will have between three and five pairs and wear them around 100 times a year. Boot Nation estimates that there are between 3000 to 5000 knee high booted women every day in San Francisco! That's a lot of knee-high booting! 
 Another reason San Francisco achieved its boot-status is that there are so many different types of women who wear knee high boots in The City. The business crowd boots up daily, tourists wear their knee high boots to "fit-in", the museum folks have to wear their expensive Charles David knee high boots or they are denied admission by other knee high booted ones; the clubbers ALL wear knee high boots; then there are all punks with their 20 eyelit steel-toe Doc Martins. 
San Franciso is a stylish international city and nothing says sophistication like knee high boots. San Francisco has great shopping with malls like the San Francisco Shopping Center, Crocker Galleria, Stonestown, The Embarcadeo ,Union Square and The Haight. Each one of these shopping centers sell thousands of pairs of knee high boots every year to residents and tourists. 
The wide variety of activites in San Francisco contributed to its boot-honor. A Giants game with its downtown stadium at AT&T; great music theaters like The Warfield, The Filmore and The Cow Place; night clubs like DNA Lounge, 1015 Folsom,  Kats Bar & Grille, The Sound Factory and Cat Club; thousand of restaurants, pubs and cafes. Don't forget all of the special events like Fleet Week, Folsom Street Fair, Decompression, Bay to Breakers and Exotic Erotic Ball. For the sports fans, the San Francisco 49er Cheerleaders wear some of the best boots in sports! The 49er Cheerleaders were recently voted in the top 10 of professional cheerleaders by Boot Nation. This great city deserves nothing less.

THE EXOTIC EROTIC BALL is a legendary event started 33 years ago by Perry Mann. I started attending the Ball in 1994 and I've attended every year since. The great thing about the Exotic Erotic Ball is there are soo many knee high boots!! Events like Bondage-A-Go-Go, the Folsom Street Fair and Burning Man all have a great mix of different types of women who attend. Some women are hard-core into the alternative lifestyle scene, but a lot of women are just regular working adults or students who want a taste of the wildlife. The Exotic Erotic Ball is the best outlet for these types of women. At the Exotic Erotic Ball, asking a woman to kiss her boots is a thrill for them. It sort of lives out a fantasy of theirs of being the Queen and having her subjects bow down to her. Disney has done  wonderful job of educating girls that they are princesses and given them an expectation of   power. Women get older but they keep these expectations and truely appreciate a man groveling before her and accepting her feminine power.

Burning Man and Decompression Party

BURNING MAN has been taking place for over 25 years! I went to my first "burn" in 1999 and attended nine straight years. Burning Man is a full week-long of partying. It slows down early in the morning, but it never stops.The most important thing to know about Burning Man is that its a costume party. Dress matters and preparing for Burning Man can be a year-round process. You are totally self-sufficient. You can buy ice and coffee at the cafe... that's it! 
When you arrive at Burning Man you are instantly transported into another realm. Because it is far from civilization it easily alters peoples consciousness. Peacefulness, openness and love are encouraged. For these reasons, Burning Man was a perfect place for me to to kiss girls boots...lick them clean actually. Hundreds of them. It was hard work, but that was MY job, I took it very seriously and I was very Good at it!
A month after Burning Man, the Decompression Party takes place. With the Burn already done, Folsom Street Fair over, Gay Pride finished (another great event to lick hot girls boots), Decompression continues the fall San Francisco party scene. Decompression happens on the second Sunday in October. It lasts 12 full hours and the party continues at Club Cocomo late into the night. 
If you can't make the long trek out to Black Rock for Burning Man, decompression is not a bad consolation. It carries most of the same themes, except its a street fair in San Francisco instead of in the desert. The weather is almost always good. But again, dress matters. Bring your favorite costume cuz you'll need it. 
To all my fellow burners, I want to thank you for everything. You are awesome people and have taught me a lot about love and compassion. I urge all of Boot Nation to attend Burning Man as many times as you can and don't miss Decompession!

Folsom Street Fair 2012 - September 23rd

The Folsom Street Fair is one of the many events that make San Francisco such a wonderful place. This year will be my 18th annual.  I discovered the Folsom Street Fair by accident in 1995. I was standing on the corner outside of Bondage-A-Go-Go and I saw a flyer. How funny is that? One of the biggest fetish events right there in my own city and found about it from a piece of paper on a powerpole.
It was a lot of fun though. There is something for everyone. It is a truly wild event. It's the largest street fetish fair in the world. The fair is is five long blocks. It is on Folsom Street between 7th and 12th streets. It lasts from 11am to 6pm.

The weather can vary quite a bit. Most years it is clear and warm to downright Hot (SF standards for hot is 75 degrees). It often rains. Both rain and heat keep the big crowds away. The fair is only a few weeks after Burning Man and many of the boots are still covered with playa dust. The playa tastes great and the smell makes you feel as if you are still in the desert.

Of coarse, I go for the knee-high boots and there are Millions of them! I have been known to kiss over 50 girls knee high boots in 7 short hours. It is one of the most open events I've ever attended. Ironically, I have been photographed thousands of times at the fair kissing knee high boots, but I have only a few of them! Two years ago, I ran into some friends and we ended up going out to eat afterward. I didn't have any cash on me at the time and my friend Adam kindly picked up my tab. Last year, I saw him said hello and handed him a $20. Adam is someone I go way back with to the early days of Bondage-A-Go-Go. It's always great to see him and so many other friends. 

Whatever your fetish, Folsom Street Fair has it for you. Knee-high boots, feet, shoes, socks, whipping, etc. The whole week leading up to Folsom Street is called Leather Week. Bondage-A-Go-Go is alive with excitement leading up to the fair and the night before is one big party.

Below is a picture of me kissing a woman's knee high boots at the 2006 fair. By the way, notice the placement of hands, very close to my body and Far from the girls boots. Posture speaks volumes, even when kissing boots. Also, I try to keep most of my body lower than the top of her boots. This is a very odedient position. These girls know they are in charge and can kick me whenever They want. Chicks like power, that's why they put on knee high boots!

Bondage-a-Go-Go and the Birth of BootBoy

On November 24^th 1994, I went to BONDAGE-A-GO-GO for the first time. BAGG as I learned to call it, is always on Wednesday nights. At that time, I was living with a house full of gay people and my roommate told me that she went to this bar where they had bondage and sushi! She just laughed about how funny it was to be sitting there eating sushi and watching someone get whipped. I tried to play it cool, but my heart was in my throat. She told me where it was and I went the following Wednesday. To my surprise the night before Thanksgiving was a very popular night to go out clubbing because people don’t have to work the next day. The line was half-a-block long and I was wearing black Dockers and Raiders t-shirt. Not a cool look for a fetish club, but I was in black so they let me in.

I went to this club for one reason: I knew there would be girls there wearing knee high boots and I wanted to ask if I could kiss their boots. I was Sure I was going to get beat up or maybe show up missing. The risk was worth taking. There were lots of scary looking big dudes with shaved heads, dressed in leather and even the Hells Angels were present. That night changed my life. Not only did I Not get beat up, I made tons of lifelong friends. People who are similar to me in many ways and others who I share little, but we have a common connection. We don’t judge each other.

Upon arriving, I walked around the club. BAGG was located in the historic Trocadero night club. This club was legendary. It had a decent size stage and most nights there was a band that played. The music was gothic industrial with band names I’d never heard and then some more mainstream music like Filter and The Cure. Everyone seemed nice. I was searched for weapons at the door. But this club was not like the usual night club. There was some violence at times, but I never felt unsafe or threatened. Upstairs, just like my roommate had said, there was a “play” area where people were getting whipped, spanked and tied up. I knew I was home!

The fellow who ran the play space was named Hawk and he had an adorable girlfriend who worked near where I worked in San Jose. Hawk introduced me to the crowd and basically said, he’s okay, he’s one of us. Without Hawks okay, I would have been beat up for sure. Hawk introduced to many people over the years and took care of me. Without Hawk, I would not be BootBoy… I’d just be some lonely guy with a boot fetish who only dreamed of boots. Hawk let me enter the playspace. I got to kiss his girlfriend’s boots as well as several other hot girls boots that night. What a thrill it was for me. I made going to BAGG my top priority every single fucking Wednesday, even if that meant getting three hours of sleep  before work the next morning, as often happened.

Over the next few weeks, I met a couple who worked at a bank, Stain and his girlfriend Rachel. They were both very kind to me. Rachel at one point called me Boot Boy and it stuck. She even made me a t-shirt with my name on the back and I knew right away, I could use that shirt and that name to branch out and market myself as Boot Boy. It worked. It was a brilliant piece of marketing. I later changed the spelling to BootBoy and even made business cards with various styles over the next several years. More people know me as BootBoy than by the name given to me by parents. In this way, I feel I belong to the fetish community and they are My People.

BAGG moved around to a few locations over the years and I followed it wherever it was held. After a couple of years I met the owner of the club, George. George had known who I was the whole time, but it was two years before we met. He even gave me a BAGG VIP card for free admission and priority entry. He said I brought something important to his club and he wanted to reward me for it. The irony of that was amazing. I got to get in FREE to a club where I could kiss girls knee high boots!

As I drove home from my first night at Bondage-A-Go-Go, there was this crazy –ass construction project happening on Highway 101. CalTrans was doing retrofit repair work from the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake and they had an off-ramp set-up for two way traffic with huge barriers on both sides on top this 50 structure. It was covered with flood lights and it was like a gauntlet. It was four in the morning, I was new to San Francisco and driving this maze was always the perfect ending to what was already a crazy night. As I drove the gauntlet each Wednesday night, I tried to recount all of the knee high boots and I kissed… without crashing my car.

DOLPHINS CHEERLEADERS - Named Cheerleaders of the Year

The Miami Dolphins recently announced the 2012 cheerleading squad. Boot Nation wants to congratulate all of the members of the 2012 squad and thank all of the goddesses who competed to be  members of the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders.
The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders are the Best cheerleaders in all of sports! This is quite an accomplishment considering all of the various cheerleading squads in the United States and indeed around the world. The Miami Dolphins have always been the best NFL cheerleading squad, but NFL cheerleaders have faced increased pressure from NBA cheerleaders. Major League Soccer, Lacrosse and even the Mermaids of the Miami Marlins also put out some amazing cheerleading teams.
The Miami Dolphins cheerleaders are the best for several reasons. One, they ALWAYS wear their signature knee high white zip up go-go boots with a 3.5" stack heel! Other squads also wear these classic boots as well. But the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders are consistent wearers of these boots, Miami is an international city so it attracts the most beautiful goddesses from around the world. Lastly, because of the hot weather, the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders can wear their white boots at every game and the goddesses near get cold.
I want to personally thank the Miami Dolphin organization for being so committed to its cheerleaders wearing these great boots. In recent years, several teams have moved to calf high and flat heel boots. My heart breaks when I see a cheerleading squad not wearing great boots. I love the NFL, but I am more interested in watching the performances of the cheerleaders. I would love to see an NFL Cheerleaders Network and of course the Miami Dolphins Cheeleaders would be its captains.
