Female Action Movie Week continues with Kate Beckinsale in her role of Selene in the Underworld series. In 2003, our jaws disconnected from our chins when we first saw Kate Beckinsale dressed in an unbelievable leather suit and wearing knee-high lace up boots. Director Len Wiseman liked her so much, he married Kate after the movie and they started making Baby Underworld's. We are now up to four Underworld movies: Underworld, Underworld: Evoluation, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and this year Underworld: Awakenings.

As a female action hero, Kate Beckinssale has it all...Leather jump suit, knee-high boots, Lots of guns, an amazingly pretty face, incredible blue eyes.. and her English accent! She is the formula for success. Kate is 38 years old and in fantastic shape. We hope we get to see her in a few more Underworlds. Maybe someday they can write in someone licking the bottom of her boot clean for mercy.

Milla Jovovich has been wearing her calf-high boots for over a whole decade in her battle with the Umbrella Corporation. Milla wears her boots and shoots guns, making her one of the biggest female action stars in Hollywood. Resident Evil 5: Retribution debuts this summer. Below we have the Orignal Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Afterlife in full.

Milla was born in Kiev, Ukrain and she is 5'9".

Female Action Movie Week - Hannah

Saoirse Ronan, 18, was the star in the film Hannah about a girl who was genetically engineered and trained to be one of the best fighters in the world. Hannah is a fantastic action film. Although Saoirse doesn't wear knee high boots in the film, we will be sure to see her do many more action films in the future wearing boots.

Saoirse is Irish and is 5'6" tall.

Okay, Boot Nation, time to break out the really big guns this week and show some of the most powerful goddesses ever to put on a pair of boots and carry a gun. Tonight, we kick off Female Action Movie Week with Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire. This movie is really about Thigh High Boots. One of my favorite movies ever made. Pamela does some nice fight scenes and she is so graceful in her thigh-high boots it is like shes not even wearing high heels. As a bonus, the director gave us a boot trample scene (part 3). This is female power at its height!
