Female Athletes & Boots Month Kristi Yamaguchi

Female Athletes and Boot Month - Ice Skating Week:
Kristi Yamaguchi
Kristi Yamaguchi was born in Hayward, California on July 12, 1971. She is forth generation Japanese-American. Kristi's family endured great hardship during World War II and she herself experienced physical difficulties as a young child. However, Kristi is of Japanese heritage and the Japanese are strong  people. Kristi Yamaguchi won the Gold Medal in Women's Figure Skating at the 1992 Olympic Winter Games in Albertville, France when she was 21 years old. To the wold's great disappointment, Kristi retired from amateur skating and turned professional. She skated with Stars on Ice for several years and it was a honor to watch her perform.
Kristi  is one of the most popular female athletes in American sports history and has maintained her popularity in the 20 years since winning her gold medal. Kristi has had a varied career. She was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers as a relief pitcher, but had to retire after only one game due to injury. It was a memorable event however because she wore high heel boots during her outing. After baseball, Kristi took up boxing, but had to quit because everyone loved her so much, no one would hit her.
On a serious note, Kristi got married and has two daughters. She also established the Always Dream Foundation for children. Kristi has also written two children's books. Dream Big, Little Pig reached #2 on the New York Times Best Seller list . A sequel, Its a Big World Little Pig was release in March, 2012. Lucky for us, Kristi wore some nice knee high riding boots during her promotional book tour!
Kristi regained national stardom in 2008 when she competed in ABC's hit TV show, Dancing With the Stars. It wasn't a fair competition. As you would expect, the gold medal ice skater won Dancing With the Stars and the hearts of millions of fans all over again.

Boot Nation Thanks Appreciation of Booted News Women Blog!

Boot Nation says Thank You!!
Many of you have recently discovered Boot Nation. Welcome to Boot Nation all! We have been up and running for a little over three months now and it has been so much fun! I am new to blogging and I had an idea of sharing my love of knee high boots with the rest of our boot loving community, both women and men. I was active in the
San Francisco fetish scene for over 10 years and it made me who I am today. I have many people in San Francisco to thank for their support. But it all started with Bondage-a-Go-Go in 1994. I used to attend clubs, parties, festivals and concerts and I would ask women if I could kiss their boots. To my surprise the overwhemlming majority said yes. Wow! Words cannot express those experiences.
Today, I am blogging about boots instead of kissing them. Boot Nation will bring you boot related news, fashion, feature themes, dramas and even fictional stories. We have already met  The Deformographer and her main pairs of knee high boots,  Chelsea, Parker and Lolita. However, I want to invite Anyone to participate in Boot Nation in any way. Boot Nation needs constant fresh ideas to keep it interesting. Your input, comments and guest blogs are very welcome. Please feel free to email me at bootnation@aol.com.
One of the reasons you may discovered the Boot Nation blog is due to an endorsement from Appreciation of Booted News Women Blog. This blog actually was the main reason I decided to get into blogging. Barrybrite does such an outstanding job of bringing us daily videos of knee high booted newswomen. I visit often and I could easily spend days searching through all of its archives. Boot Nation shares Appreciation of Booted News Women's values of respect toward women. We also love
Annalee Penny and are happy to help promote her onto further greatness! Barry, thank you very much much for your support! Boot Nation's traffic quadrupled because of your endorsement! Thank you!
Lastly, I want to give some props to my other favorite blog, Ultimatecheerleaders.com. Ultimatecheerleaders has been around for several years. Like, Appreciation of Booted News Women, it is very professional. It covers all professional cheeerleading squads in the United States and many other worldwide squads as well. It is the best site on the web see knee high white go-go boots.
Thank you all so much. I look forward to hearing from you and Welcome to Boot Nation!

Female Athletes & Boots Month Serena Williams

Female Athletes & Boots Month - Tennis Week:
Serena Williams
Tennis Week concludes by celebrating two Gold Medals for Serena Williams in the Summer Olympic Games in London, England! Yesterday was a big day for Serena as she defeated Maria Sharapova in the Women's Singles match by a score of 6-0 and 6-1. The 2012 Summer Olympic Games are the first time Serena has won the gold medal in the Women's Singles event. However, today was just as special for Serena as she combined with older sister, Venus to beat Andrea Hlavácková, Lucie Hradecká of the Czech Republic. It is the third Olympic gold metal Serena and Venus won together in the Women's Doubles event to go along with their victories in Athens, Greece in 2000 and Beijing, China in 2008.
Both Serena and Venus have had tremendous professional tennis careers. Venus won seven grand slam singles titles, including five Wimbledon victories in 2001, 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2008 and consecutive U.S. Opens in 2000 and 2001. Venus also won 13 doubles titles and a gold medal in the Women's singles in 2000!
Serena is the better player, however. Serena has 14 grand slam titles in Women's singles, 13 grand slam titles in Women's doubles plus her 2012 gold medals to go along with her gold medals in Women's Doubles in 2000 and 2008.
Serena is the ultimate overachiever though. While she has been one of the top female tennis athletes, she has started her own clothing line, called Serena Williams Signature Statement Collection. Recently Serena starred in a promotional advertisement for the video game Top Spin 4. In the video Serena rocks some thigh high boots and teasingly reminds us, "You realize this is a fantasy right?" A fantasy that was deemed too hot for TV, but we have it here and its no fantasy, that really is the gold medal champion, Serena Williams!
